The major responsibilities of the president are to serve on the Executive Board, run cabinet meetings, oversee committees, and assist in ensuring that SOMA leadership runs efficiently.  Also the president is required to attend the three national SOMA meetings per year.

This year it is my goal to continue to work with the executive board and cabinet members to continue the growth of our chapter’s reputation on our campus and at a national level.  As a new chapter, our abilities are limited by our funds, and I hope that throughout this year the leadership will be able to establish events that will set up a strong financial foundation for our club.  Another important goal is to make this year's membership drive even more successful than last year.  It is also my hope that once members join SOMA that they remain active in our chapter and are able to fully benefit from the many opportunities that SOMA brings to students.
